Summer Destinations: Tenerife

Tenerife holidays never cease to be popular. Sun, sand and above all, fun! Who would not want to go to a place that is summed up by these words?

Since the Canary Islands have volcanic origins, many beaches on Tenerife are actually ash black. The sand is black, quite different from the golden beaches everybody is used to. I personally think this is a wonderfully strange anomaly, but due to people's preference for the familiar, artificial beaches with yellow sand have also been created.

Obviously, the tourism industry on the island is quite large and lucrative, and this is reflected in the infrastructure for tourists. There are plenty of activities to do, and a variety of places to chill out. If chilling out in the sun is not your thing, there are also beaches that specialise in water sports and other activities!

A place that combines a thriving night life, exciting water sports, a vibrant culture and breathtaking natural beauty with such ease is probably hard to imagine. But going to Tenerife actually convinces you that such a place can truly exist.

The weather in the Canary Islands is palatable throughout the year. In fact, this destination is particularly popular among scuba divers because the water is dive-able throughout the year. Best Travel Destinations In Italy: Tuscany
